Racing Sebastian into 2013 season Red Bull athletes regularly make headlines. At the center of the current “World of Red Bull” campaign from the energy drink manufacturer is a call-to-action micro site devoted to the Formula One superstar Sebastian Vettel. Golden Alligator was responsible for the idea, creation and implementation of the website under the title “On Track with Vettel”.
The fans are the focus “Without my fans I am nothing.” This quote from Sebastion Vettel was the genesis for the idea behind the online action. Fans can prove that statement through their own initiative. On a virtual racetrack, fans can leave a personal support post to help cheer their idol on. Posts can be shared immediately on Facebook and Twitter and with a little luck, fans receive a large or small reward as ‘thank you’. Additionally, videos, photos and text document the career highlights of the star from Heppenheim.
On Track with Vettel: Golden Alligator lends itwings The current campaign shows off the successful cooperation between Red Bull Deutschland and Golden Alligator: Idea, Concept, Design and Programming – we were part of the development and implementation from the first second on. The online features were designed to enhance the design and conceptual ideas of the overall “World of Red Bull” campaign. Racing and gaming elements on a virtual racetrack lend the micro site an unmistakable look.
High end with tight deadlines
The specifications for the programming and timeline were challenging: All programs run responsive on tablets, a seamless Facebook Connect integration provide social media synergy – and the entire project only had 4 weeks from idea to online. That took a lot of Red Bull for our Golden Alligators!
The future looks bright for a cooperative season
After the online expansion of the “World of Red Bull” in Fall 2012 and now “On Track with Vettel” to begin 2013, we are excited for new projects with Red Bull. We’re ready to start! The campaign “On Track with Vettel” was running from January 23rd to February 24th in 2013. Due to a high response the runtime of the campaign will be extended and the microsite will remain online.
